Beyond the National Cycle Network Route 6 gate at the end of Belle View Lane is Boundary Wood.

Managed by the Forestry Commission, Boundary Wood was once the location of the Blidworth Colliery tips, slurry lagoons and the aerial ropeway.

Boundary Wood is popular with cyclists, horse riders and dog walkers. There are a number of circular routes that extend north eastwards, connecting Blidworth to the neighbouring village of Rainworth and offering views of the rural landscape extending eastwards towards Newark on Trent and the Power Station at Staythorpe.
